Donna Mehalko was raised on a farm in Southern Alberta, Canada. Throughout her teens she attended the summer programs at the Banff Center for the Arts. She completed her BFA in Drawing and Painting at the University of Alberta and earned a post graduate degree in Experimental Art at the Ontario College of Art in Toronto. Donna moved to New York City and worked as an illustrator for several major department stores, major beauty brands, ad agencies and book publishers, while continuing to paint and exhibit her work which is in several private collections.
